Commander Byrd New York to Paris flight.  Transatlantic flight in monoplane "America" wich departed NY on June 29, 1927 and landed on the beach at Ver-sur_Mer, France 42 hours later.  All of these were watersoaked, many with missing stamps; this particular example is quite fresh with stamp intact and is signed by Byrd, Acosta, Balchen and Neville (entire crew).  AAMC 1060.
