1454700 1880 Book. McLoughlin Bros. Trio of Christmas Books.

 

"ST. NICHOLAS/SANTA CLAUS" VINTAGE McLOUGHLIN BROS. ILLUSTRATED CHILDREN'S BOOKS TRIO.  Sizes range from 8-3/8x10.75" to 9.25x10.5" with choice color illustrations throughout. Each is soft cover with page count ranging from 12 to 20 pages. Titles include "Visit Of St. Nicholas, Santa Claus & His Work, The Night Before Christmas A Visit From Santa Claus". First two are undated and art is unsigned but closely resembles Thomas Nast's art. Each is c. 1880s. Third title is copyright 1899 with high quality lithograph color. First title is heavily worn with fabric binding at side discolored from age and archival tape repair inside cover and numerous handling creases. Just Fair. Second title has cover dust soil and 3" bottom spine split. Good/VG. Third title has archival tape repair inside bottom spine with a few lt. cover handling creases. Overall covers Good, pages Fine.
