5c Red Brown (1). Original gum, small h.r., large margins all around, deep rich color, tiny corner margin crease at top right entirely outside design (could be trimmed leaving a full margin). EXTREMELY FINE. A FRESH AND RICHLY-COLORED ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT 1847 ISSUE. This was the top stamp in the vertical strip of three from the Caspary sale. With 2004 P.F. certificate.
